SUMMER CAMPS

2019 SUMMER CAMPS

This summer, ORYA is working with ORHS coaches, ORYA volunteers and other sports professionals to provide more summer sports opportunities. Instead of sitting on the couch get your player involved in any of our summer offerings. Offerings below will focus on fun and development while giving players something different to do during the day!

ORYA summer camps will be used as fundraising initiatives. ORYA looks forward to providing fun and developmentally appropriate camp programs that improve our ability to offer quality programming during the regular seasons. Camps will be posted as they are created.

    • VOLLEYBALL

ORYA’s volleyball program will provide players a fun environment to learn age-appropriate skills & techniques. Players will learn the fundamentals of passing, hitting and over hand serving. More specifically, players will learn footwork, arm swings, and the keys to passing. They will come away with a better understanding of the rules of the game as well as how a basic offense and defense work. They will get LOTS of small group instruction as well as play time in drills and game-like settings. The main goal will be to develop players skills, knowledge of the game, and a passion for the sport. Clinics will be run by Cassandra Sweatt, the Oyster River High School Varsity coach, with help from her team! The drills used and skills taught will cover the same fundamental principles as the ones used at ORMS and ORHS. A minimum of 8 registrations are needed to make this camp successful.
