Our Volleyball program was created to support off-season participation in the sport and continue participants love for the game.
SUMMER PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
ORYA’s volleyball program will provide players a fun environment to learn age-appropriate skills & techniques. Players will learn the fundamentals of passing, hitting and over hand serving. More specifically, players will learn footwork, arm swings, and the keys to passing. They will come away with a better understanding of the rules of the game as well as how a basic offense and defense work. They will get LOTS of small group instruction as well as play time in drills and game-like settings. The main goal will be to develop players skills, knowledge of the game, and a passion for the sport. Clinics will be run by Cassandra Sweatt, the Oyster River High School Varsity coach, with help from her team! The drills used and skills taught will cover the same fundamental principles as the ones used at ORMS and ORHS
