Why do we need to fundraise? ORYA is an independent 501 (c)3 non-profit and while partially funded by Durham, Lee and Madbury that funding still falls well short of covering annual operating expenses. Fundraising supports the annual operating expenses which include staff salaries, facility & field maintenance, program & organization insurance, office expenses, 3rd party accounting costs, website hosting, annual registration software & merchant account fees and much more.
Fundraising also supports larger program or organization improvements. Through fundraising ORYA ensures being able to make improvements where needed such as building a concession stand at Demeritt park in Madbury, expanding the soccer facility at Tibbetts field or one day building a multi-use indoor space!
