2025 SUMMER PROGRAMS


ORYA summer programs will be used as fundraising initiatives for ORYA and specific in-season programs. ORYA looks forward to providing fun and developmentally appropriate programs that improve our ability to offer quality programming during the regular seasons. Programs will be posted as they are created.


      • 2025 ICE HOCKEY SKILLS

        This skills Series will focus on skating and stick-handling as a way of keeping players in shape and developing skills and habits for the upcoming season. Coaches will be ORYA Hockey coaches. Sessions will be held on Friday mornings at the Dover Ice Arena. Note the first and last dates are slightly earlier. While most participants will be ORYA players, we welcome players from any program.

        *A minimum of 16 players in each age group are needed to make this program successful.

      • 2025 volleyball SKILLS

        ORYA’s summer volleyball clinic will provide players a fun environment to learn age-appropriate skills & techniques. Players will learn the fundamentals of passing, hitting and over hand serving. More specifically, players will learn footwork, arm swings, and the keys to passing. They will come away with a better understanding of the rules of the game as well as how a basic offense and defense work. They will get LOTS of small group instruction as well as play time in drills and game-like settings. The main goal will be to develop players skills, knowledge of the game, and a passion for the sport. Clinics will be run by Annabelle Svenson! The drills used and skills taught will cover the same fundamental principles as the ones used at ORMS and ORHS.

        *A minimum of 10 players in each age group are needed to make this program successful.

      • 2025 Tennis SKILLS

        ORYA’s summer tennis program is led by current UNH Tennis players, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play – so it’s perfect for beginners and intermediate players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. Sessions are based on USTA’s Net Generation curriculums and uses modified tennis balls, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game! Participants may be recommended to move to a younger or older group if the coach believes that will better match a players’ current ability level.

        While players are welcome to bring their own racquet coaches will have 21″ racquets on hand for use. To size a racquet for your player check out this USTA Video.

      • 2025 Ultimate Frisbee

        Come check out the fastest growing team sport in the United States! Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting field sport with a flying disc (frisbee) that combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with aerial passing skills. It is also governed by Spirit of the Game – a tradition of sportsmanship that places the responsibility for fair play on the players.  Learn more at USA Ultimate.  We stress sportsmanship and fun at this camp. SAFETY:  We will be following CDC guidelines including playing in smaller groups, using clean discs and social distancing on the sidelines. WHAT TO BRING: Cleats, a full water bottle, sunscreen and clothes appropriate for exercise and the weather.

        In New Hampshire, there are many options for play - see Seacoast Ultimate options! Oyster River and other high schools have after-school clubs. A NH high school team has competed in the U.S. Youth Club Championships since 2017.  Join us!

      • 2025 strength and speed development program

        A beginner strength and speed development program tailored for 5th-8th graders and individual programming tailored to our high school/college athletes during this vital time of athletic development and growth. This program focuses on helping young athletes develop a strong fitness foundation through proper lifting techniques, structured workouts and a progressive speed program.Our program emphasizes safety, strength building, speed/agility and overall physical development, creating a supportive environment where athletes can gain confidence and improve their athletic performance. Have your athlete join our Summer program and watch their confidence
        skyrocket!

      • 2025 Lax Skills And scrimmage

        This new program is designed to give young athletes a fun and focused opportunity to continue developing their game during the summer months. Whether your player is new to lacrosse or looking to sharpen their existing skills, this program will emphasize key fundamentals such as stick handling, passing, shooting, footwork, and field awareness. Through engaging drills and small-sided games, our goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where players can learn, grow, and build confidence on the field. Please pack plenty of water so we can work with whatever weather summer throws our way!

              • Junior Golf Camp @ New England Sports Hub

                Schedule: Tuesdays, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

                HUB Junior Golf sessions focus on building a strong foundation in all areas of the game. Participants will have instruction on full swing, short game (chipping, pitching, and putting), and basic golf etiquette. Campers will also have hands-on experience using our state-of-the-art Trackman Simulators and Trackman Range technology to track their progress, learn swing data, and make practice even more fun and engaging. The sessions are designed for junior golfers aged 8-14 and of all skill levels to improve their technique, confidence, and love for the game in a supportive and exciting environment! BYO clubs or borrow for the day, included in cost.

              • 2024 Golf Program

                Golf is back with a new approach! We're rolling out a new approach to youth golf. We've taken a gradual approach to instruction with our first two dates happening at Fore on 4 driving range, the next two dates meeting at Rockingham CC to use a mix of range and course play concluding with two final dates at Apple Hill Golf Course to play on their par 3 course. Coaches will introduce participants to the basics of the game at each major area - setup & swing, putting, short-game and etiquette.
